India’s new sensational bowler Umran Malik recently rose to fame after his exceptional performance in the Indian Premier League. Malik played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022 and was the fastest bowler of the season. He constantly upscaled his performance and kept breaking the record for the fastest ball of the season.
Umran Malik finally made his debut for the Indian team after being named in the squad for a month. The twenty-two-year-old player bowled his first over in India vs Ireland T20I series. He was picked in the crew for the five-game T20I home series against South Africa but not introduced in the playing eleven.

He got his breakthrough after bowling a single over against Ireland and winning his first international game. Malik was selected due to his twenty-two wickets in IPL 2022 being a contender for the purple cap. Malik only gave fourteen runs to the Irish team and didn’t bag a single wicket. However, experienced players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal led with wickets, whereas Deepak Hooda scored and led India to victory.

India vs Ireland: Umran Malik Debuts International for India
BCCI officially tweeted, congratulating Malik for his entry into the playing squad. They wrote, “A dream come true moment!! Congratulations to Umran Malik who is all set to make his T20I debut for Team India. He gets No.98.”
