India and England finished their third day of the final test match. India is currently in a lead after England failed to cross the runs set by the Indian team in the first innings. India batted first after England won the toss and chose to bowl. India is in the lead in the series as they have won two games, whereas England only has one victory.

Rishabh Pant on the first day changed the game for India after scoring a century. India started slowly, with even Virat Kohli failing to make a significant difference. Pant, with Ravindra Jadeja, made a total score of 146 before getting out. Jadeja also scored 104 runs before with a partnership of 222 runs. Pant smashed 19 boundaries and four sixes.

AB De Villiers Tweeted

Rishabh Pant made his fifth century in Test matches and second against England. South African player AB De Villiers recently tweeted in appreciation of the duo, “Haven’t been home and missed most of the Cricket action. Finished watching the highlights now. That partnership from @RishabhPant17 and @imjadeja is right up there with the best I’ve ever seen in Test Cricket!”

India also did brilliantly with their bowling, with Mohammed Siraj picking four wickets and Jasprit Bumrah taking three wickets. England only made 284 runs compared to 416 made by the Indian team. In the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah, the new captain created history after scoring 35 runs in a single over, breaking the record of Brian Lara.
