India and England played their final match of the five-game test series, which they continued on 1st July. India is playing the rescheduled match, which was earlier played in 2021 and was canceled due to covid. India had a great start in the game in their first inning after they scored 416 runs. They made fewer scores comparatively in their second innings.
England performed poorly in their first innings, but they improved their bowling and stopped the Indian team to add more difference. England performed well in their second innings on the fourth day of the test match on the 4th of July. England continued with their game on the 5th day with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow on the batting.

On the previous day Root and Bairstow had made 76 and 72 runs before ending the day. They entered the pitch and were the only players to play for England and took their score a lot farther than expected. Joe Root ended the innings at 142 runs and Jonny Bairstow at 114 runs. They led their team to victory in the final game after losing two games and winning one before this.

The fans had a massive hope for India, especially after a smashing performance by Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, and captain Jasprit Bumrah. Still, it wasn’t enough to stop England from achieving. India was 256 runs ahead, but thanks to improved bowling and batting, they managed to chase down the lead.

England won the test match by 7 wickets, but the series ended in a draw after both teams won two games and one ended in a draw.
