India and England played their second ODI in the three-match series on 14th July, at the iconic Lords Stadium in London. In the first match, India defeated England by 10 wickets. It was a great show by the Indian team, especially the bowlers. The second match contrasted the first, where England showed an exemplary performance.

England batted first and did a fabulous job at getting the maximum score they can get. They upgraded their bowling and took wickets after wickets. Reece Topley took six wickets for the English team. Virat Kohli is back on the field and displayed a good performance but for very little time.

India won the toss and chose to bowl first. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow opened for England in the first innings. Roy scored 23 runs, and Bairstow made 38 runs. Liam Livingstone made 33, whereas Moeen Ali and David Willey scored 47 and 41 runs. England gave a target of 246 runs. Reece Topley took an incredible six wickets, whereas David Willey, Brydon Carse, Moeen Ali, and Liam Livingstone took a wicket each.

India vs England: 2nd ODI Match Highlights, India Lost By 100 Runs

India batted in the second innings. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja scored 29 runs each. Suryakumar Yadav made 27 runs, and Mohammed Shami got 23 runs. Virat Kohli briefly made a comeback and scored 16 runs with three boundaries, but the spell didn’t last long. India ended their inning with just 146 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal took five wickets, whereas Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya got two each. India lost to England by 100 runs.
