India and England played their first ODI on 12th July, Tuesday at the Oval Stadium in London. It was played after three T20I games, and India won the format series after winning the two games. India won their first game of ODI, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan became the star batsmen of the game.

In the first game of the ODI India won the toss and chose to bowl first, opting for England to bat. India got their bowling game top-notch and allowed England to play just 25.2 overs out of 50. Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah were the players to get the Indian team to win by 10 wickets after incredible bowling.

English captain Jos Buttler scored 30 runs, and Dawid Willey made 21 runs. Moeen Ali and Brydon Carse scored 14 and 15 runs. England failed to score many runs and gave a target of 110 runs in 25 overs. The bowlers also failed to take any wickets in the game.

Indian captain and opener Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were the only players to play from India and were enough. They are presently the best openers duo from India, and they together scored 114 runs. Sharma scored 76 runs, and Dhawan made 31 runs. Jasprit Bumrah was the highlight after he took six wickets, whereas Mohammed Shami took three wickets and Prasidh Krishna got one.
