India Tour of West Indies: Rain Wash out Results in Resorting to Indoor Net Practice: India and West Indies set to play ODI and T20 series. Three matches are scheduled during the time frame of India’s tour to West Indies.

The 3 matches which are scheduled to be played between July 22 to July 27 will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. After the matches, India will play other five T20’s between July 29 and August 7.

After the rain washed out the scheduled practice session, the team had to resort to indoor nets in Trinidad ahead of their first ODI against West Indies.

In the three match ODI series against West Indies, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Team. The match is scheduled to start on July 22, Friday. As Rohit Sharma, alongside Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the 50-over series, it was decided to name him the captain.

The likelihood of batsmen as such Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav, and all-rounder Deepak Hooda is expected to come to the rise.

There are plenty opportunities to deliver incentives given the T20 World Cup campaign a few months in Australia which will be followed by the next 50-over world cup in 2023 hosted by India.

Rohit Pant along with Hardik Pandya are scheduled to return to India for the shortest format series. Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Shami are to miss the T20’s as well.
