The BCCI announced the India squad for the South Africa T20I series. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will be the captain and the vice-captain for the series. It will be the last T20I series for India and South Africa before the T20 World Cup 2022. India and South Africa will not only play in the T20 format but also in One Day.Â
There are likely to be two separate teams for the T20I and ODI, where one is yet to be announced. Three matches will be played in both formats. India will be hosting South Africa for a home series. The T20I series will begin on 28th September and the venue will be Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Indore.

Hardik Pandya will miss the T20I series against South Africa and will be on rest. He was part of the Indian team against Australia in the T20 World Cup in October. Pandya is playing non-stop for India from England tour to captaining in Ireland series and now recently in Asia Cup 2022.
