IND vs ZIM Zimbabwe Cricket Dedicates the 2nd ODI to Fight Against Childhood Cancer

IND vs ZIM: Zimbabwe is hosting India for a three-match ODI series. It is the India tour of Zimbabwe where India has won two out of the three games. The final ODI is on 22nd August at 12:45 pm Indian Standard Time. Zimbabwe Cricket made the second ODI dedicated to the support of a childhood cancer battle. Indian players also took part in cancer awareness and support.

The official Cricket Board of Zimbabwe stated that they are supporting the NGO KidzCan Zimbabwe. They provide chemotherapy drugs, bus fares, diagnostics, nutritional requirements, and psychological support to the children suffering from cancer in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwean captain Regis Chakabva, Sikandar Raza, and Bradley Evans visited the children’s oncology ward at Parirenyatwa Hospital after the second ODI. They donated hampers and toys to every young cancer patient in the precinct.

A playing shirt that was signed by every Zimbabwe cricket player present in the squad was gifted to Kidzcan Zimbabwe Chairman Dave Mills. They were accompanied by seven-year-old eye cancer survivor Takunda Maguhu. Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson, who was the player of the match, gave his signed cricket ball to Takunda and posed for pictures. Indian captain KL Rahul also clicked a picture with the kid along with Chakabva.
