IND vs WI: Shikhar Dhawan Says at 1st ODI Toss Against West Indies, “I am Very Cool Captain”: India and West Indies are currently playing a three game ODI series in India’s tour to West Indies. The matches are scheduled between 22nd July to 27th July. The matches are located at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. India won by three runs in its first match against West Indies on 22nd July.
Shikhar Dhawan is leading the Indian team for the following matches as captain. While being asked about how he felt about leading the team in the post-match interview, he replied, “I am a very cool captain. I ensure that my team energy stays up and I love to take all the right decisions. Keep the team along and keep the process going. We make sure that our process is very strong and keep doing the right things, so that we get the right results.”

He made a score of 97 in the 1st ODI and the team won by three runs over the West Indies team. The opening duo was of Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill. They provided a launch pad of 350 plus together. Gill made 64 before he was out.

Gill’s innings consisted of 6 fours and a couple of sixes. He was later dismissed by West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran. This was his fourth game where it was Gill’s maiden ODI fifty. Dhawan on the other hand made 10 fours and 3 sixes. He paced his innings well with Gill.
