ICC T20I Rankings: Dinesh Karthik Jumps 108 Places, and Ishan Kishan Enters the Top 10

The International Cricket Council or ICC has recently announced their top player’s lists in T20 International rankings. In the list, there were massive changes in the Indian players, two main highlights were Dinesh Karthik and Ishan Kishan. Dinesh Karthik has taken a massive leap to 108 spots on the batters list.

Thanks to the latest smashing performance by Karthik in the India vs South Africa five-game T20I home series. Dinesh made an impressive comeback and finished the game, leading the Indian team to victory. Both countries settled for a draw as both won two games, and the final round was interrupted by rain. The keeper-batsman scored fifty-five runs in twenty-seven balls and was named the player of the match.

Dinesh Karthik was selected for the national team due to his ecstatic performance in IPL 2022 for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In sixteen games played for RCB, he scored 330 runs with a strike rate of 183.33. ICC placed Dinesh Karthik in the 87th spot for his recent comeback.

Young player Ishan Kishan, was included in the top ten for his exceptional performances in international matches. He scored 206 runs against South Africa and was the highest scorer of the series. Kishan was the leading scorer with forty-one runs average and smashed two half-centuries in the series. It will be the first time the 23-year-old has ranked in the top ten. Presently Pakistan Captain Babar Azam is leading the list, whereas Yuzvendra Chahal is placed at the twenty-third position in the bowler’s list.
