Match Highlights: Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals played the finals of Tata IPL 2022 yesterday on 29th May, at 8:00 pm IST. The game was at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where GT won their first-ever IPL trophy in the maiden season itself. Both the teams played well, but Gujarat exceeded their bowling and fielding and prevented Rajasthan batsmen to score higher runs. The Titans made sure their bowling game was on par with their batting and crossed the set target of 130 runs in just eighteen overs.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss, and captain Sanju Samson opted to bat first. It was a terrible decision by the team, as the pitch at Narendra Modi Stadium is for bowlers, and due to the massive ground, scoring is also hard.
Rajasthan Royals

1st Innings:
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler opened for RR, Jaiswal made twenty-two runs, with one four and two sixes. Jos Buttler didn’t play like his previous performance and scored thirty-nine runs, hitting five fours.
Captain Sanju Samson made fourteen runs, and Devdutt Padikkal scored a disappointing two runs. Shimron Hetmyer and Ravichandran Ashwin made eleven runs and six runs.
Riyan Parag and Trent Boult didn’t add much to the score, making fifteen and eleven runs. Obed McCoy made eight runs, and Prasidh Krishna played zero balls and made zero runs.
Rajasthan Royals gave Gujarat Titans a target of 130 runs.
2nd Innings:
Prasidh Krishna took the first wicket of Wriddhiman Saha, and Trent Boult got Matthew Wade out with the help of Riyan Parag.
Yuzvendra Chahal got Hardik Pandya caught out by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Gujarat Titans

1st Innings:
Yash Dayal got Yashasvi Jaiswal caught with the help of Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore.
Hardik Pandya took a crucial wicket of Jos Buttler and further took two more wickets of Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer.
Rashid Khan got Devdutt Padikkal caught out, whereas Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore made Ravichandran Ashwin and Trent Boult return to the pavilion.
Mohammed Shami and Rahul Tewatia took the wicket of Riyan Parag and Obed McCoy.
2nd Innings:
Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill opened for Gujarat Titans. Saha didn’t perform well and hit a four and got one run before getting out. Shubman Gill played well, scoring the highest run of the match, and was playing till the last ball.
Matthew Wade only made eight runs with one six, whereas captain Hardik Pandya scored thirty-four runs with three fours and one six.
David Miller also played till the end, scoring thirty-two runs.
Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in eighteen overs.
GT won their first-ever IPL trophy in their opening season.
