Rohan Bopanna advances from the quarterfinals with his partner Matwe Middelkoop and enters the Semi-Finals of French Open 2022, Men’s Doubles, after seven years. He was last present in the semi-finals in 2015 and now in 2022. Bopanna is still winning for his country and is the Men’s Doubles champion, from India. He is forty-two years old and reached his first semi-finals at Roland Garros. Bopanna and Middelkoop won the quarterfinals on 30th May.

Rohan Bopanna-Matwe Middelkoop played the quarterfinals against Llyod Glasspool–Harri Heliova from the United Kingdom and Finland. A competitive game was played for an enormous two hours and four minutes. It was a pretty long game, played by the Indo-Dutch pair compared to their previous matches. It was a tough round for both teams, to secure their place in Grand Slam Men’s Doubles semi-finals.

The Brit and Finnish defeated us in the first set by 4-6. It was a disappointing game, but not for long. India made a comeback and won the second set to equal the wins by 6-4. The third set was challenging, and both the teams were attacking to score the maximum points and win the match. It was a close call for India and Netherlands, but we barely managed to win by 7-6.
Rohan Bopanna secured his place in the semi-finals after a long wait of seven years. They will face Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo on 2nd May, Thursday.
