Indian player Rohan Bopanna won his first doubles match in French Open 2022 held in Paris. He partnered with Dutch player Matwe Middlekoop. Bopanna was at No. 3 in the Doubles Badminton back on 22nd July 2013. He is also a member of the Indian Davis Cup team since 2002. Rohan came second in US Open doubles in 2010 along with partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. He also won the French Open 2017 mixed-doubles, partnering with Gabriela Dabrowski.

Rohan Bopanna is momentarily playing doubles in French Open 2022 with Netherlands player Matwe Middlekoop. The duo played their first match yesterday on 24th May, defeating Sascha Guemard Wayenburg and Luca Van Assche. It was an easy win for the Indo-Dutch pair. Bopanna and Middlekoop made 6 points while the opposite made 4in the first set. The second set was an easy win for the Indian and Dutch players, succeeding in the match by 6-1.

Both have stepped further into the tournament and will play their second match tomorrow. Other Indian players like Sania Mirza and Ramkumar Ramanathan are also in Doubles and Mixed Doubles events.
