Rohan Bopanna won his second consecutive match in Men’s Double with his partner Matwe Middelkoop. Both played in the second round of the French Open 2022 on 26th May and qualified for the pre-quarterfinals. Bopanna was ranked World No.3 in 2013 and won the French Open in 2017 in mixed doubles with Gabriela Dabrowski. He is also the fourth player to receive a Grand Slam title. As a member of the Indian Davis Cup team since 2002, he has represented India in several different international championships. Bopanna is forty-two years old and still represents India in doubles games.
Rohan Boppana and Matwe Middelkoop played their second round of games against Andre Golubev and Fabrice Martin. The Indo-Dutch played a crucial match against the Kazakh-French duo and won. They played their first set and scored six points, whereas the opposite pair made three points. The Indian and Dutch team won the first set and the second set. We again made six points while they got four points and won the game by 6-3 and 6-4.
Bopanna and Middelkoop are in the pre-quarterfinals against Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic from Croatia. If they win this game, India will be in the French Open quarter-finals.
