Ex-Indian Opener Gautam Gambhir will be a part of Legends League Cricket. It will be the second edition of the tournaments after the first was a big hit amongst cricket fans. The Legends League Cricket allows fans to see the icons of cricket who retired back on the field playing.
Gautam Gambhir will officially be a part of the second edition. The League will be from 17th September with four teams participating. There will be 15 matches played amongst the four teams.
Gautam Gambhir released an official statement, “I am glad to share that I have committed to take part in the upcoming Legends League Cricket from September 17th onwards. I am excited in anticipation of being on a cricket field once again. It will be a privilege and an honour to rub shoulders once again with the glitterati of world cricket.”
Gambhir played 58 Test matches, 147 ODIs, and 37 T20I for India. His runs exceed 10,000 runs in international cricket. He was also a huge part of India’s T20 World Cup victory in 2007. He also opened in the 2011 World Cup finals against Sri Lanka in which India prevailed.
