India played their final test match against England from 1st July to 5th July. It was the fifth game of the test series, postponed from 2021 to July 2022. India lost the final match after starting with a good performance but failed to register a significant score in the second innings. England took the lead with their batting in the second innings and gained the victory by seven wickets.

Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow were the players of the game where they scored 248 and 145 runs combined in two innings. They easily fended off Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami’s balls into the air. After the victory Cricket England took a dig at former Indian Captain Virat Kohli on Twitter, where they posted two pictures of Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow.

In the first image, Kohli is shushing Bairstow, and in the second image, Kohli is hugging Bairstow after England’s victory. At first, it may not seem much, but it has a funny story. On day three England had a poor start in their first innings. Jonny Bairstow was batting and was struggling to register a significant score. Virat Kohli poked him by telling him to stand in the crease and started pulling his leg.

England’s captain Ben Stokes and the head umpire were also involved, and Kohli signaled by keeping his finger on his lips to hush Bairstow. What Virat did turned out to be a mistake as Bairstow started playing aggressively and took his 12 runs to 106 runs in the first innings. Bairstow also made 144 runs in the second innings gaining the victory and equaling the score by 2-2.
