Dravid will be back before India-Pakistan “It’s just a bloody flu yaar” Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri gave some controversial statements about Indian coach Rahul Dravid amidst his Covid-19 positive news. The BCCI recently announced that Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid has contracted Covid. He won’t be flying to Dubai at the moment and will likely attend the Asia Cup after recovering.

“In three-four days, it will be fine, and he will be back in the park.” As the BCCI mentioned Dravid has mild symptoms and will take another test in a couple of days. Ravi Shastri mentioned on his show Shaz with Waz on Star Sport, the Dravid situation with his show-partner Wasim Akram. “I don’t think it will make that much of a difference. Today, they don’t call it covid, it’s just a bloody flu yaar. In 3-4 days, it will be fine.”

Shastri shared his own experience of facing Covid during the England tour last year. “When I had covid last year, I could have gone into the dressing room in 6-7 days. And I promise you if I had gone to the dressing room in 6-7 days, you would have played that Test match at Old Trafford and won it. Don’t talk about Covid..it’s just flu. It’s over. He should take a couple of paracetamols, he should be fine and back before the India-Pakistan game.”

BCCI hasn’t named a representative who will travel to the United Arab Emirates to replace Dravid. The Cricket Board will wait to see the conditions of Rahul Dravid before taking the final decision. VVS Laxman will likely be the coach if Dravid doesn’t recover from the virus.
