The newest rankings for Women’s T20Is were revealed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), with Indian dashing opener Shafali Verma holding her top status. Beth Mooney of Australia and Smriti Mandhana, Shafali’s opening partner, are close behind.

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandana’s explosive combo at the top has transformed India’s fortunes in recent years. India has made significant progress in T20Is, particularly in the shorter format, when the deadly duo can express themselves.

Shafali is in first place with 759 points, followed by Mooney with 744 points and Mandhana with 716 points. Meg Lanning, another Australian, is in fourth place with 709 points, while Sophie Devine, the New Zealand captain, recently put in a match-winning effort against England to move up one spot in the batters list.

Deepti Sharma has taken Katherine Brunt’s place in the sixth position after the latter missed the second T20I against New Zealand. Sophie Ecclestone of England is in first place with 778 points, followed by Megan Schutt and Sarah Glenn.

Devine and Natalie Sciver tied for first place on the all-rankings rounders with 371 points. Kathryn Bryce of Scotland is now ranked third, and she is the only woman from her country among the top ten players in the world.

Devine, who had been ranked No. 1 for almost a year, lost his spot to Sciver after the latter’s performance in the T20I series against India in June. After scoring 50 runs and taking two wickets in the second T20I between England and New Zealand, she has now equaled her adversary.
