The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced on Tuesday the new upcoming Women’s T20 challenge schedule. The matches are to be played during the final IPL playoffs.

T20 was skipped in 2021 as the dates clashed with India’s Tour of Australia.
This year’s three teams are Trailblazers, Supernovas and Velocity

A Predecessor for Women’s IPL?
Plenty of rumors are flying about this being an early stage for the Women’s Indian Premier League. BCCI has given several indications about the emergence of WIPL but haven’t officially affirmed it yet. The teams will gradually increase to five or six for a hard-hitting competition.
Many investors and team buyers are making themselves available for WIPL as well, as plenty of international cricketers.
