India played its final match on 1st June in the Asia Cup Hockey 2022. The Asian hockey tournament is coming to an end soon, and the Asia Cup Cricket will begin. The Indian Men’s Hockey team consists of all new players, but still managed to secure their positions after having a bad start. They defeated the winners and became one of the best teams. The first game was played, on 23rd May, and India was against Pakistan, ending in a draw. India defeated Japan after failing to enter the finals, won the third position, and received the Bronze medal.

India played their final match of Asia Cup Hockey 2022 yesterday against Japan. It was their third time facing a Japanese team in the tournament. The Indian team lost the first match but won the second, and yesterday’s game was no different. India failed to qualify for the finals after not scoring enough points and playing three games ending in a draw. Most of the players were playing internationally for the first time, and one or two players had previous experience. It was a defensive win for the Indian team as they scored a single goal in the first half and defended it till the end.

Uttam Singh took the ball through the Japanese defense and assisted Rajkumar Pal. Pal effortlessly dismissed the ball into the net, going right past the goalkeeper Takasi Yoshikawa. India took the first goal of the match in just seven-minute and defended the rest of the game. We also secured two penalties but failed to add more numbers to our score. India won third place and got the Bronze medal. Malaysia and South Korea played in the finals, where South Korea took the gold.
