The Indian Men’s Hockey team played the short and fast-paced Hockey tournament by the International Hockey Federation. The first match was on Saturday, 4th June and the finals played on Sunday, 5th June. India faced Poland in the finals and won the FIH Hockey 5s Championships. It was a historic victory for India as it was their first-ever tournament.

All games were short twenty-minute games, and players could shoot from anywhere on the court due to the small dimensions. It makes the game fast-paced and more exciting, with each minute counting. People took their appreciation to the internet and praised the team for their brave championship win. Abhinav Bindra, the Indian shooting legend and Olympic Gold medalist, congratulated the Indian Men’s team for achieving a historic victory.

Bobby Singh Dhami and Mohammed Raheel scored two goals in the finals, whereas Sanjay, and Gurinder Singh got one goal each. Raheel became the highest scorer for the Indian team.
