Xiaomi is said to be developing new Redmi smartphones. One such phone’s main characteristics have been revealed in a new leak. This phone is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display. The Redmi phone is also expected to have dual speakers and capability for 100W fast charging. The identity of this Redmi phone is unknown, however it is thought to be one of the rumoured Redmi K50 series phones.
Digital Chat Station, a Chinese source, has leaked important characteristics for the next Redmi phone. The handset is believed to have a big 6.7-inch OLED display with full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, as previously said. The display is expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of camera, the Redmi phone is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary camera. The same tipster claims that a Redmi phone would have over 100W fast charging, twin speakers, and IP68 water and dust resistance in a separate article. The source does not specify whether the specifications are for the same Redmi phone or for separate Redmi phones. That is a matter of conjecture.
These phones appear to be from the Redmi K50 series, which has been rumoured. Xiaomi hasn’t made any official announcements on the Redmi K50 series. The exact date of the launch is unknown, but it is expected to include models such as the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+.
A Redmi K40 Ultra model is also expected; however, it will be powered by an unnamed MediaTek SoC. It could have a 20:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of 120Hz. A 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor, a Sony IMX355 wide-angle sensor, and a telemacro sensor with a 3X magnification are all likely to be included.
