Realme GT Neo 2 Specifications Teased, Snapdragon 778G SoC, 5,000mAh Battery Confirmed Ahead of Launch

Just days before the official launch, the Realme GT Neo 2 specifications were leaked. The teasers confirm previous rumours, stating that the next Realme phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. In comparison to the Realme GT Neo, the smartphone will also have a larger battery. In addition to the teasers detailing the Realme GT Neo 2’s features, the company has also released photographs of the phone’s rear. Those photographs, in particular, indicate the presence of a triple-camera arrangement on the back of the phone.

Realme GT Neo 2 specifications

Realme has verified the essential specifications of the Realme GT Neo 2 in a series of Weibo posts. A teaser for the new Realme smartphone’s octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC appears in the posts. The original Realme GT Neo, on the other hand, had a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. There’s also a teaser that shows the Realme GT Neo 2 being powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It has a 500mAh capacity increase over the Realme GT Neo’s 4,500mAh battery.

In addition to the larger battery, the Realme GT Neo 2 supports 65W Dart Charge rapid charging, which claims to charge the phone to 100% in 36 minutes. In addition, the phone appears to have a hole-punch display.

Realme has also shared photos of the Realme GT Neo 2’s back, which appears to include a triple rear camera configuration with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. This backs with a previous storey that said the next Realme phone would include 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 120Hz display. Separately, a recent Geekbench listing hinted to the possibility of a 12GB RAM model.

The Realme GT Neo 2 is also available in a distinctive Black Mint colour scheme. According to a previous report, it could also come in Black and Blue colour schemes.

On September 22, Realme will debut the Realme GT Neo 2 in China. In the meantime, we may expect more teasers and rumours to surface on the Internet in order to build anticipation for the new smartphone before its official release.
