Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator and actor of Fleabag, has left Amazon Studios’ “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” series due to creative disputes with fellow star and executive producer Donald Glover.

Along with Glover, Waller-Bridge was set to star in and executive produce the new series.

Waller-exit Bridge’s is amicable, according to many sources, and her role will be recast.

The two collaborated for the first time on Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The planned series is a collaboration between New Regency and Amazon Prime Video, and is based on Doug Liman’s blockbuster film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It was supposed to go into production the next year.

The narrative of a married couple who find they are paid assassins to kill each other was first released in 2005, but the romance between the two characters overpowered the plot.

Glover created the show and will continue to work on it as a co-creative producer and executive producer. Pitt’s role will be played by him.

As showrunner, Francesca Sloane, who previously worked with Glover on the critically acclaimed comedic drama Atlanta, is still on board.

At Amazon, Sloane, Glover, and Waller-Bridge all have overall deals.

Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer of New Regency will executive produce alongside Jenny Robins of Wells Street Films.

Waller-Bridge is presently starring in Indiana Jones 5 and executive producing the last season of “Killing Eve.” She also contributed to the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die as a writer.
