On September 27, actor Kalki Koechlin’s first book as a novelist, Elephant In The Womb, an illustrated nonfiction tale of childbirth, will be released.
The graphic book will be published by Penguin Random House India and will be illustrated by Ukrainian artist Valeriya Polyanychko (PRHI).
On her Instagram page, Koechlin, who had her daughter with her boyfriend, classical musician Guy Hershberg, in February of last year, announced the publishing date and cover of her graphic novel.
“Here’s what I’ve been up to over the last year and half of lockdown and parenting! So delighted to share the cover of my graphic narrative published by @penguinindia.
“Available 27th September onwards, everywhere books are sold,” the 37-year-old actor wrote.
The book is a “candid, humorous, and relevant” chronicle of pregnancy and parenting for moms, pregnant mothers, and “anyone even thinking about parenthood.” It includes a collection of personal essays and think-pieces.
The book’s release date was set for May of this year.
