India and Zimbabwe played their final match of the three-game ODI series on 22nd August at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. It was the last tour of India before heading to the Asia Cup 2022. The men in blue made a clean sweep in the ODI series. The Indian team in the ODI game is nearing perfection.
India defeated West Indies twice in 2022 in the ODI series by winning every game the two played. In the India tour of Zimbabwe. Shubman Gill was the star performer of the series. He consecutively scored stacks of runs and made his first ever century in an ODI. Sikandar Raza also scored a century for Zimbabwe. Avesh Khan also played the final game and took a couple of wickets.Â
India won the match and took batting instead of their usual bowling. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul opened the game for India in the first innings. Dhawan scored 40, and Rahul made 30 runs. Shubman Gill was the highlight of the game, he smashed 130 runs with 15 boundaries and one six. Ishan Kishan made a half-century. India gave a target of 289 runs to Zimbabwe.
Avesh Khan bagged three wickets, whereas Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
Zimbabwe batted in the second innings. Sean Williams made 45 runs, and Brad Evans made 28 runs. All-Rounder Sikander Raza smashed 115 runs with nine boundaries and three sixes. Zimbabwe made 276 runs before getting all out.
Brad Evans bagged four wickets for Zimbabwe. Luke Jongwe and Victor Nyauchi took a wicket each.
India defeated Zimbabwe in the third ODI by 13 runs and won every three games.
