At MCA Stadium in Pune, the 29th match of the Indian Premier League IPL 2022, a match arises between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). It was engaging that went down the wire and made many bite their nails. David Miller played a blinder of an innings and turned the clock back to help his side register their 5th win of the season by 3 wickets.
Alzarri Joesph was the pick of the bowlers and returned with the figures of 2/34 for Gujarat Titans. It wasn’t quite a fruitful chase for Gujarat Titans as they first Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar for ducks. Abhinav Manohar (12) and Wriddhiman Saha (11) got starts but fell early as the new team found themselves tumbling at 48/4. Rahul Tewatia also struggled and could manage only 6 runs in 14 balls. David Miller played the lone hand for his side and played a blinder of an innings. But what stole the limelight was Rashid Khan’s fiery knock in the end. The Stand-in skipper smashed Chris Jordan for 25 runs in the 18th over and scored 40 runs in just 21 balls. With 13 runs needed off the last over, Miller after missing the first two balls smashed third for six and fourth for a four and closed the game for his side. He remained unbeaten on 98 as GT won the match by 3 runs.
For Chennai Super Kings the biggest positive was, Ruturaj Gaikwad to help his side post, he smashed a staggering half-century and returned to form a decent total of 169 runs on the board. In partnership with Ambati Rayudu, who scored 45 runs, the right-hander scored 73 runs in 48 balls and stitched a 92-runs. Shivam Dube (19) and Ravindra Jadeja (22) helped CSK post a fighting total on the board, it was a great finish.

Between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, It was no brainer who won Man of the Match in today’s encounter. David Miller got the award for his unbeaten 94 runs. He came to bat when GT lost early wickets and was tumbling at 16/3. He stayed till the end and made sure his side ended on the winning top. He took the game deep and unleashed himself in the end. His knock included 8 fours and 6 big maximum sixes.
