The makers of the highly anticipated historical action movie KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash, revealed on Sunday that the film would now be released in theatres on April 14, 2022.
The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, was originally scheduled to be released in July of this year but was postponed owing to the country’s coronavirus outbreak.
On their official Twitter page, Hombale Films, the studio behind KGF: Chapter 2, announced the revised release date. “Today’s uncertainty will simply serve to postpone our determination, but the end result will be as predicted. The film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
Rocky, who is played by Yash, climbs from poverty to become the ruler of a gold mine in KGF. Sanjay Dutt makes his Kannada acting debut in the sequel to the 2018 film.
Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty also feature in KGF Chapter 2.
